New Zealand allrounder Jimmy Neesham on Thursday paid tribute to his highschool cricket coach, David Gordon, who had handed away on July 14 as a result of coronary heart failure.
“Dave Gordon, my Excessive College trainer, coach, and buddy. Your love of this sport was infectious, particularly for these of us fortunate sufficient to play underneath you. How acceptable you held on till simply after such a match. Hope you have been proud. Thanks for all the pieces. RIP,” Neesham tweeted.
Gordon handed away in the course of the Tremendous Over within the World Cup ultimate and his daughter Leonie Gordon mentioned that Neesham had hit a six within the Tremendous Over when her father took his final breath.
Leonie was touched by Neesham’s response.
“It was beautiful, you already know, he’s saved in contact with Jimmy and he’s associates with Jimmy’s father. He all the time had a tender spot for Jimmy Neesham, he was very happy with him. He would positively be following his profession,” stuff.co.nz quoted Leonie Gordon as saying.
