Police in New York are investigating claims that officers have been ordered to shoot the rapper 50 Cent “on sight”.
Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez, who instructions the 72nd precinct in Brooklyn, allegedly made the remark throughout a roll name final June.
In response, 50 Cent mentioned Mr Gonzalez was a “soiled cop abusing his energy”, and a “gangsta with a badge”.
“Now I am wanting on the cops completely different,” he wrote on Twitter, including: “The unhappy half is that this man nonetheless has a badge and a gun.
“I take this menace very significantly and I am consulting with my authorized counsel relating to my choices shifting ahead.”
The NYPD instructed Sky Information “the matter is below inner evaluation”.
The incident was not recorded and Mr Gonzalez tried to cross the remark off as a joke, the New York Day by day Information reported.
Roy Richter, president of the NYPD Captains Endowment Affiliation, instructed CNN the allegations in opposition to Mr Gonzalez have been “utterly false”.
