Peter Tork, a member of the band The Monkees, has died aged 77, in accordance with his official Fb web page.
The American musician had reportedly been identified with a uncommon type of tongue most cancers in 2009.
A publish on his Fb web page stated: “It’s with past heavy and damaged hearts that we share the devastating information that our buddy, mentor, trainer, and wonderful soul, Peter Tork, has handed from this world.”
Tributes started pouring in from the world of music following Tork’s loss of life.
The Seashore Boys frontman Brian Wilson tweeted: “I am unhappy to listen to about Peter Tork passing. I believed The Monkees have been nice and Peter can be missed. Love & mercy to Peter’s household, associates and followers.”
Tork was one of many founding members of 1960s band The Monkees, famed for hit songs equivalent to Daydream Believer and I am A Believer.
The group shaped in Los Angeles in 1965 and starred in their very own TV sequence The Monkees, which ran from 1966 to 1968.
